How do I turn the grey silhouette avatar into a picture of me?

If you're having trouble saving your uploaded avatar photo, make sure the current and new password fields are left blank (unless you are changing your password) then save the changes.
If you find you’re getting an error message, try uploading your picture on another device (eg phone, iPad, or computer)
What if I forget my password?

When do I get charged for the academy?
Monthly payments: Your card gets charged the same day of the month as you joined. Eg if you joined on the 11th of the month, you'll get charged on the 11th of each month.
Yearly payments: Exactly one year after you joined, you'll be charged for your next year in the academy.
When are new lessons available?
You'll receive an email when new lessons are published. Masterclasses become available on the 1st weekday of every month.
Eg. If the 1st of the month is a Saturday or Sunday, the lessons will be available on the next Monday. (This is so that I can take a break on weekends and get some rest).
You'll be sent an email to notify you when they are ready to view!
New Transformation lessons become available at 12pm Sydney time on the day of their release. (To figure out the time in your own timezone, just Google "12pm Sydney time" and Google should tell you the time in your closest town. Yay for clever technology!)
Can I switch from monthly payments to yearly (or vice versa)?
Yes you can. Just email us [email protected] to request!
And remember, when you switch to yearly, the price is equivalent to you getting over 3 months free!
Just let us know at least 7 days before your payment is due, and we can switch you over!
I have a flute question about a lesson in the academy.
Under each lesson in the academy, you'll see a place for you to ask your question. Type it in there and either Rachel or Jane will respond to you inside the academy.

How long can I view each lesson for?
Each Technique Workshop and Repertoire Class is viewable for as long as you are a student in the academy!
Each Masterclass is viewable for 1 month.
The Online Concerts are not recorded, so come along live to join in!
How many times can I be a featured student in the Masterclasses?
Applicants who haven't been the featured student before will get priority, but you're most welcome to apply again and join the short queue to be the featured student again!
How do I suggest a topic or a piece?

I haven't received my welcome card in the mail.
The welcome card gets sent to you on the day after you join the academy.
Australia Post mail can take up to 3 weeks to get to international destinations. If you haven't got your welcome card within 3 weeks, let us know, and I'll pop a new pack in the mail for you!
PS. If you're in Australia, it should only take a few days to reach you, yay!
Can I see past Video Messages from Jane?
Yes! We have a video archive here, where you can view past monthly video message from Jane telling you what is new in that month of the academy!
How do I change my email address?
Even though you can change your email address yourself in your Settings, it's best if you email us ([email protected]) and tell us your new email address so that we can update other records we have on file for you (for example, making sure you get your surprises on your birthday and academy anniversaries!)
How do I change my credit card details?
Click on your avatar (top right corner of this page, when you're logged in) > Click Settings > Click Billing Info > Click Replace.
Then fill in your new card details!
Will my current academy price ever increase?
Nope! Unless you cancel your membership, the price that you joined at is the price you have locked in forever. If you leave the academy, and then later want to join again, you'll pay the same price as new students joining.
The locked-in price is one of the perks of being a long term student!
If you would like to pause your membership, you will also keep your locked-in price for when you return from your break.
I need to cancel my membership.
Just let us know ([email protected]) at least 7 days before your next payment is due, and we will stop your payments and access. (And of course we'll be sad to see you go!)

The videos aren't loading properly.
Firstly, check your internet connection! Are other pages and videos (not part of the academy) also slow to load? If so, it sounds like it's your internet.
You can also try moving to a different part of the house (or park, or wherever you're watching!) to improve your wifi connection.
You can try using a different device (eg a phone vs laptop or computer) to see if your device is the problem.
And you can also try using a different internet browser, like Chrome, Safari or Firefox, for example.
Which website platform does The Flute Academy use?
Jane chose the fabulous Kajabi on which to run The Flute Academy. It makes it easy for you, as a customer to log in, watch and complete courses, as well as interact with Rachel and me, and with each other!
